today is sunday. i thought sundays were supposed to be lazy days? we woke up late and i thought i didn't have much to do. but.... joe has band practice and i have girl group changed to sundays cause elizabeth is working on mondays now. i feel like sitting at home and putting my zines together. i went to kinko's with elaine from ovrrkill zine. she is a nice girl. i made many copies. it was fun and good to have so many sittign around and good to get a ride in a car home so i didn't have to carry all my copies on my bike. joe is sittign in bed rereading brainscan #12. i recopied it into quarter sized and i think it is much cuter. it kinda makes me feel weird when someone reads my zine in front of me.
joe made me a breakfast of mashed potatoes and corn flakes. this kid has no idea how to cook. or what should go together but i love him anyway. we went and looked at two prospective houses yesterday. they look nice but i'm not sure how comfortable i will feel in teh neighborhood waitign at a bus stop at night. i'm a 5' tall girl. i know my strenghs and most of them are on the inside. we shall see.
it is funny how people you think would be so uptight talking about things really aren't. we were talkign about tampons and the one guy on shift was telling us how he keeps tampons in his hunting first aide gear. because they are sterile and wound be good to soak up blood. he was also refering to the o.b. kind as bullets and told us how his girl friend uses them and he wants to put them in a gun. what a weirdo.
we also had a big discussion about alternative forms of feminine products. i was informed that there is a light days semi tampon thingy that doesn't go inside called "insync" i thought that was scary. well not really just the name. when i went to get my bike form the back at work my assistant manager angie was asking if there would be room for her in our house. i told her there was a lot of peopel already but i would like to live with her. joe and i talked about it and joe made a comment about how she would diversify the place. she's not an activist or a punk rocker or even a vegetarian. but she is one awesome lady who is going to massage school and gettign ehr life turned around. she is from the midwest though. oh well. a few thigns that hse would have to change are no meat in the kitchen and no tv in the living room. i think she can adapt though. she is also very interesting in learning about bikes and how to fix them. she made me feel good by telling me that she watns to be more active in things cause she has seen hoe joe and i live and really likes it. anyway. i gotta call lindsay back and see if beth e-mailed me.
