2001-07-08 - 1:15 a.m. ok so we didn't get to seattle. we sat outside this truck stop with a (very pretty) sign that said "seattle" for 3 hours and i could feel myself getting a sunburn and cranky. i kept thinking of all the things i have to do this week for the zine symposium from cleaning hte house to trying to decide what the fuck i am going to talk about in "zine 101" that should be interesting at least journalsong steve is going to help kinda. all the silly ziney girls can bat their eyes at emo steve and think about how his girlfriend sux cause they have all read what he has written about her....ok maybe i am exagerating but it is a funny thought. i promised joe that i would help him finish the basement this week and have all this crap from his distro down there this week, only then did he let me give up on hitchhiking. i am so sick of drywall!!!i also had to promise to go with him another time. so, what should i say in the zine intro class. something about cummunity and not needing validation from anyone to write anything you want. there is no corporate sponsorship...ummm community, connections, different kidns of zines, zine ettiquette like how to write a nice letter rather than saying "here is $1, send me a zine". i'll tell everyone how it changed my life and how it helped me meet my future husband... that sounds so cheezy. but, it's tue. we decided to move the date back six months to the october of 2002. i'm shooting for the whole halloween theme. that way gavin (my bride's man) can wear his stupid black metal corpse paint like he wants. i wonder how my parents will react. i'll find out in 2 weeks when i tell them. i've been listening to hellbender-con limon over and over cause that damn "untrusting you" gets stuck in my head. i guess that's it for now. i'm gonna drink a hard cider and go to sleep.-alex
