i really should stop being amazed by running into people i know from places in different places.... i ran into pogo mike from the zillionaires, we both used to live in utah, his band was playing at a record store in sealtte where they live now. they sound better than i remember, less poppy, more garagey. i always feel werid and never know what to say in those conversations where you both can only talk about people and places that neither of you really want to go back to. oh well, i guess that is why we left after a few songs. my sister felt werid wearing and interstate shirt, our friend in the band used to live with mike. too much utah in one room for us i guess.
i have been getting e-mail's and letters to make me blush from people about my new zine. it is odd. the word "honsty" comes up alt. i used to wonder if there was honesty when you edit something down but i guess there is honety in seaching for htat perfect word to describe something. i guess i'm really pleased by how it turned out and it looks like a lot of distros are going to be picking it up. it makes me smile to have people out there appreciatign what i do and connecting with it. i need to get to kinko's and make more copies soon. i'm almost out of #15 again.
i need to go make some oatmeal and tea and go upstairs and listen to rick emerson on the radio and make buttons.-alex
