do you ever feel like doogie howser when you type this?...

i got woken up with a call from brain this morning telling me that i would appreciate hearing about his brotehr's death. it seemed odd but it eventually made sense. apparently he took a typewriter and walked down the I-84 with it. he walked in front of a truck and the truck swerved and he walked into it still holding the typewriter. he was killed instantly. brian said he thought i would be able to write about it for my zine. i don't think i could make it sound as nearly as heart breaking as it is for him.

my sister got in there today and i guess she is caught in the middle of all the family politics while trying to stay sane herself.

my mom called and wanted their address to send flowers. i thought that was nice and just the sort of thing that my upper middle class parents do, thinking it the best thing... that, and my uncle in gresham owns and flower shop.

it is almost 2am and my sister just called. she wants me to find pictures of typewriters for brian cause he is going to get a tattoo of one with his brother's last message on it a few random letters and the phrase "i want" cryptic? yes, cryptic. brian also had a message for me "love you little sister" don't worry brian i already do.

this is one of those things that is a few degrees away from me but i feel emotionaly drained because brian is my friend and because of how close he us to my sister and the realization of what it would be like to lose her as well.

i should get some sleep.-alex
