Here is an outline of what I have already for the zine craft zine Stolen Sharpie Revolution a zine about zine related crafts, stuff you know, stuff you don't know, stuff you didn't know you knew:

Intro talking about how there are things everyone can do and the idea of the zine is “I can do that”

ZINES: supplies (including notebook, clipart, scissors, glue stick and/or rubber cement/double sided tape) where to collect clip art, ideas for covers, never underestimate the revision process, tip for writers block (re-reading the zines you love and asking why you love them), take your notebook with you (you never know when inspiration will hit), ways to fasten zines (including book binding stitch, safety pin, sewing with machine, and old fall back: the stapler), how to scam (various methods from the push pin trick, magnets, cheating “the honor system”, stealing from work, cheating the machine that ads money to the cards, or stealing your own key), copy machine tricks including inverse printing, making a good flat to copy from, and a little about photocopy art.

MAILING: trades (keep them fair), including info when ordering (put address on outside and inside of letter, hide money, stamps are appreciated, basically send mail, post box pluses and pen names (including privacy and security), use a real address when possible cause not everyone has e-mail, to get a letter write a letter, stamp cleaning and gluing, media rate and M-bound (international media rate), be nice to your postal workers, and making the zine community a community.

DISTROS: when writing for consideration remember that these people usually have another job and /or go to school and/or have a real life. Always put on the inside your name, address/e-mail address or a stamp for reply, suggested retail, wholesale price (usually 50-60% of suggested retail price i.e.: if your zine is $1retail it would be 50 or 60cents wholesale) and whether you accept consignment options (this means you get your money only when the zines sell) Remember if you zine is rejected, it’s you zine and NOT you. You can always send the next issue. If all else fails send them candy or start your own damn distro.

MAIL CRAFTS: reusing envelopes, making your own envelopes, make your own post cards, address labels, stationary, and how I’m anti confetti in the envelope.

MISC.: how to make paper, how to make your own paint brushes, screen print, block print, book bind, stencils, patches, stickers, ads to trade, quilt with old T-shirts and patches, tips for vegan friends, how to make a bike fender with a pop bottle, make a pant holder so it the chain ring won’t eat your pants, multiple duct tape uses, the glory of yard sales, swap meets and discount stores.
