Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001 - 9:45 a.m. still in eugene. all i ate yesterday was cookies, coffee, and organic apple juice. i'm really hungry right now. i didn't sleep very well last night. i had dreams with people i know talking in british accents. i got an e-mail back from my friend justin (the black metal austrailan...he likes black metal a lot) i miss him. he is a good friend in utah. i hope he comes up to oregon to visit. he is one of those friends hwere you can just pick up where you left off even though we haven't seen each other in a year. that makes me happy. i went and hung out in my sister's studio with er while she did architecture homework and i made buttons. it always gets a lot of questions. these silly girls kept asking dumb questions like "can you actually live off that, it sure seems like a pain in the ass" they looked suprised when i told them i can make about 200 and hour and i get paid about $25 bux per 100. i also explained that i can take my job with me and travel whenever i want. then again these were hte same girls that told my sister that she wasnt' a feminist cause she didn't like ani defranco....enough said. it was good hanging out with my sister. my grandma called her and i talked to her. she wanted to know what i wanted for christmas. i feel werid writing chrsitmas wish lists at 24 but if she is into buying hte presensts then what can i say? i really want one of those cast iron tea pots. they are so beautiful and fuctional. i also talked with her about my aut leaving her husband refering to him as a "cold pickle" i later told her that joe wasn't a cold pickle and she seemed to be happy. i'm not too sure what she meant by that , then again neither did joe when i told him. pander just asked to carry brainscan #15. i think i like to converse with erica about her thoughts on #14 in the split with journalsong before i decide. her review of it seems to leave questions that no one is asking but i love to have a chance to answer. i got a good fantasy book used yesterday in this really cool bookstore. i found another book on useful crafts that was too expensive but gave me ideas about stolen sharpie revolution! i think i am going to put patterns of boxes and envelopes and fold up cards in the center so that people can pull then out, blow them up on a copier and make their own templates the size that they want. i guess that is all for now. i really need to find some food in this apartment.-alex ***MICROCOSM PUBLISHING***we make 1" buttons, stickers, shirts, and patches. we also distro recrods, books, zines and more. this is how joe and i make a living
