Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001 - 7:13 p.m. i spent my thanksgiving in hood river eating tons of yummy vegan food and watching cable television. i hate tv but you know, sometimes you have to watch it to know what you are hating. there are so many channels that you can surf channels for a half an hour and by that time somethign good will be on. i think everyone was annoyed with my facination with the histroy channel. we went to artifacts, a book store owned by one of our customers. it was the first tiem we had gone in. it was really cool except it was buy nothing day and i bought a book on environmental weddings. i felt kinda bad but i wasn't gonna get another chance to go in the store. i decided that the day before was buy nothing day cause i didn't buy anything, and that it can't be so bad cause i was supporting an independently owned store. the owner made fun of us for buying books. we offered to leave the money there and he could ring it up the next day but it was kinda his fault of being open. i think that joe and i won't be open on buy nothing day when we have our store.i'm not sure what is better, that, or the coffee shop in eugen that gives everything away for free. but if they give stuff away people are still consuming so i don't know. it was good to be with a kind of family. it wa good to see my sister and brian and brain's mom. i ahd only met her once but she is really cool. webs and her and i were talking about erotica and she didn't know where to get women centered porn and i said i could send her my catalog from good vibrations and brian was freaking out cause his mom wasn't supposed to be talking about that especially with his girlfriend and his girlfriend's sister. they have a cute cat with funny facial markings. i really liked it and i'm not a cat person. i just don't like neurotic cats that freak out. cassandra wants to get eric a dog for christmas. i'd love to have a dog around the house it is just so difficult to train a puppy but i'm excited. enough for now-alex ***MICROCOSM PUBLISHING***we make 1" buttons, stickers, shirts, and patches. we also distro recrods, books, zines and more. this is how joe and i make a living
