i cleaned my room! it has been forever. joe is very proud of me, i think. i didn't find anything too terrible interesting but i thought i should clean up cause we saw the mouse again. i curled up on our bed and listened to a great mix tape i made and read zines. i hadn't done that in awhile either. i have been more into book or staring at this damn computer lately. when i read zines i try to write a letter or a postcard right there or take notes so i can do it later. it is kind of an involved process so i need to take time for it.
i'm making rice and veggies for dinner.
i am going to an early 90's party in a week and i was putting my costume together for it. i think it is an awesome idea. everyone does 80's parties but this is a 90's party. i am going as my jr. high/high school self complete with hippie skirt, cure shirt, ripped up black tights with purple ones underneath, big combat boots, lots of neckalces, and i'm going to put on goth make up that i didn't wear in the early 90's and put my hair up like robert smith and also carry my backpack with band names written all over it. ahh those wer ethe days....kinda.
i was thinking about how my housemate eric and his girlfriend cassandra remind me of how paul and i were. it is sweet but scary at the same time. they drink a lot, cook together, rent movies a lot and are together constantly and she is her when he is gone and hangs out with all of us rather than go home and they get in these semi private fights when they are trashed. they are even close to the same age she is going to turn 21 and he is 23. it is amusing. i like them.
i'm listening to weston that joe is taping for a kid in malaysia and i'm thinking about how this record was a soundtrack to falling in love with joe. we used to listen to it when we lived in shani's living room two years ago. joe's birthday is in 2 days and i don't know what to get him. i'm pretty crappy hu? he is such a minimalist that i don't know what he is going to hate or love cause he doesn't really need anything. i'm thinknig of making him little cupons to let him tickle me cause he really likes it cause it makes me smile a lot. who knows. i'll probably take him out to breakfast and dinner and buy him stamps like last year unless i can think of something clever.
