Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 - 3:43 p.m. joe and i walked 5 miles in the misery that is portland winter last night. it was cold and wet but not raining and the sky was kinda clear at some points. i was all dressed up in my old snowboarding pants expecting the worst. i thought we were just going to the store and joe wanted to walk an extra 10 blocks to get a movie. so we did. we got this movie about these guys who own a small copy shop but a big mega copy shop opens up across the street. the name of the mega copy shop is "KINK CO." they devise scams to thwart them and it is pretty good but could have been better. think:clerks but slower paced and a little less funny. it's clled Kill the Man. check it out if you get a chance. of course i was drawn to it when they have a copy machine on the cover dropping on some guy like a cartoon anvil on the cover. shane stopped by for a minute on his way from driving down from seattle on his way to LA. that kid is crazy about his car and driving. he was very pleased about himself about getting the exist right this time. but he was gone in 10 minutes and i'll see him again soon. we also made vegan grilled cheese.mmmmm. mine had garlic and tomatoes in it. very tasty. i also snag in teh shower to discount. i hadn't done that in awhile mostly because i have a big beautiful claw foot tub upstairs that i take baths in instead and singing in the bath just isn't he same. i just got done packaging up a bunch of orders and we are listening to the dead milkmen. a very underated band. ah, the bucky felini album. it takes me back to jr. high with songs like jelly fish heaven. that reminds me, my sister is still in thailand and she got to ride elephants the otehr day. i hope she is having fun. she has sent me a few e-mails and it sounds like she is having a blast. i need to get bundled up to ride to the post office and get my new zines out to people. -alex ***MICROCOSM PUBLISHING***we make 1" buttons, stickers, shirts, and patches. we also distro recrods, books, zines and more. this is how joe and i make a living
