Dustbin days- 2000

click here to see all the silly rings i belong to

Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 - 12:21 a.m.

i just read some guys editorial on the lord of the rings movie and one of his complaints is that the movie should not have shown people smoking because it is deadly. what a fucked up werid thing to say? i'm sure hte tobacco that gandalf used was not laced with nearly as many deadly poisons as todays cigarettes. werid.

still no heat.

i get to work out at the 82nd avenue wunderland store tomorrow. it is so werid to work out there. there is nothing to do but wait for games to break and stand around. the avalon is much busier. i worked there saturday and the manager mentioned something to the effect that they aren't as busy so i don't really ahve to work as hard. i laughed. i don't know any other way to work. especially with how little i go in there. four days this week. i hope i'll be alright.

joe reorganized our records into: florida, pennsylvania, bay area, cleveland, alex's crappy utah hardcore, and random other stuff. silly boy. he is also reoganizing his office tonight. i think it is too damn cold to leave this side of hte house.

i think i might go see lord of the rigns tomorrow, i'm not sure. probably not because my sister is going to call me after she goes to the doctor. i may have to go down to eugene for a bit to be with her.

i'm probably going to be making buttons for an intersex organization. i was reading stuff on it today. it is really fucked up how the medical community can make a judgement about a child that is going effect their entire fucking life at such an early age by assigning gender. there were statements about how society can't handle gender ambiguity. and that is so true. it's like the old saturday night live skit of Pat. we assoicate everything in polarities and not just compartments. i had read a bit about this in gender studies but book stuff is never as real as actual life.

we were supposed to go to breakfast with dave but he is stuck somewhere and only jenna showed up. it was nice though. we talked about family and how it truly affects you as a person. i ahve been thinking about it a lot after watchign the dynamics of both sides of my family over hte holiday. and throwing joe into the mesh was a little werid too. maybe i'll write more about that another time. i'm going to go to bed so i can get up and work. -alex
