yesterday was a miserable day to ride a bike. it was rainy rainy rainy. i went from north to southeast and our meeting about the rock and roll camp for girls was great. we got some good ground work done and a rough outline of hte workshop. it should be interesting. then i made copies and met shawn and went to la fonda and then to nathan and aaron's home and then got back to my house at 4. where did the whole day go?
today i rode in a car. cars are a lot like cable TV. they are ridiculous luxuries but also intriquing at the same time. i like to ride in cars ocassionally. it is a totally different view of things. it is strange not havning to think about where i am going and someone does it for me. cable TV is fun to watch smetimes when it is around like twice a year or something. you can learn cool stuff like the spy stuff we watched in utah at kat's house. that was fun but if i am around it too much then i will get stuck. i suppose i'd do the same thing if i had a car around a lot.
we went looking at bikes with rose. she wants a nice road bike and after looking at them so do i. the one that drew my attention was $1,600!! and it was used!!oh well i think jamie will do fine. my back wheel is soooo out of true i can feel it. i lugged way too much stuff around yesterday i thought it was going to collapse on me.
i really should go work on projects.
it is funny everyone in portland seems to have a deadline for hte symposium. we are all crazy.
joe and i tried to play nerdy role playing games that are over ten years old on the computer last night but it wasn't working. i need a little escape right now. -alex
